This service involves working with families,
in their homes, on implementing teaching plans from the COMPASS
treatment reports and using methods developed for each plan. The
focus is on using the teaching plans during daily routines. The
child will participate with his/her parent(s) and the plans will
be implemented. Teaching methods that fall under the umbrella of
applied behavior analysis will be used as well as visuals and other
materials to model the teaching methods. The goals will be reviewed
if time has lapsed since the treatment evaluation. The family will
be given homework each week to embed instruction into home routines
and will be active participants in the therapy sessions. Each session
lasts approximately 60 minutes and the number of sessions may range
from 4 to 8, depending on the needs of the family and child.
