Title: A
Controlled
Study of Mercury Levels through Lab Analysis of Hair Samples
of Children with Autism as Compared to Their Typically Developing
Siblings and Age/Sex Matched Children with Other
Developmental Disabilities
We are currently conducting a study to
determine whether there are differences in mercury levels as measured
by hair analysis in children with autism as compared to their typically
developing siblings and other children.
Any child diagnosed with autism who has
a typically developing sibling (both below the age of 6) is eligible.
Children with other developmental disabilities below the age of
6 are also welcome to participate.
If you choose to participate, you would
need to collect hair samples from your child. A kit with instructions
is provided and will be sent off to Doctor's Data Lab. The test
costs are covered by grant and you will be provided with a copy
of the results.
